URO-800 SUBINTERNSHIP IN CLINICAL UROLOGY 4 credits.  Modules B-L.  NOTE;  A “G” after the module in the Class Schedule indicates the Buffalo General Hospital as the site.  Prerequisite-Senior medical student or permission of OME and instructor. Drs.Gerald Sufrin and John DeBerry, III. Number of students: 3.

        This rotation provides experience in Adult Urology,  both male and female.  This exposure reflects a spectrum of adult Urologic conditions, and in addition is the site of shock wave lithotripsy procedures.


URO-800 SUBINTERNSHIP IN CLINICAL UROLOGY 4 credits.  Modules B-L. .  NOTE;  A “C” after the module in the Class Schedule indicates the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo as the site.  Prerequisite-Senior medical student or permission of OME and instructor. Drs. Saul Greenfield and Julian Wan.  Number of students: 2.

        This rotation uniquely provides educational opportunities in Pediatric Urology, and students are fully integrated into the entire program.  Students will gain insight into the diagnosis and management of pediatric urologic problems through participation in clinics, operating room, conferences and reviews of specific topics.

Drs.Kevin Pranikoff and Kennon Miller. Number of students: 3.

        In addition to Adult Urologic problems, this rotation provides in-depth experience in renal trauma, reconstructive Urology and Neurourology.


URO-800 SUBINTERNSHIP IN CLINICAL UROLOGY 4 credits.  Modules B-L. .  NOTE;  A “R” after the module in the Class Schedule indicates the Roswell Park Cancer Institute as the site.  Prerequisite-Senior medical student or permission of OME and instructor. Drs. Robert Huben, Satish Velagapudi and David Corral.  Number of students: 3.

        This rotation is primarily directed towards Urologic Oncology.  Students will gain a unique experience in the overall management of the Urologic Oncology patient, which will include a multidisciplinary approach to urologic malignancies.


URO-800 SUBINTERNSHIP IN CLINICAL UROLOGY 4 credits.  Modules B-L. .  NOTE;  A “V” after the module in the Class Schedule indicates the Veterans Affairs Medical Center as the site.  Prerequisite-Senior medical student or permission of OME and instructor. Drs. Ruben Cartagena and Thomas Grimaldi.  Number of students: 3.

        This rotation provides a broad-based exposure to Adult Urology.  While the primary patient population is male, there is a women’s service which provides a limited exposure to female urology.


URO-890 COURSE AT OTHER UNIVERSITY 4 credits.  Modules B-L Prerequisites-Senior medical student.

        By arrangement with other university and chairman of Department of Urology.


URO-950 RESEARCH IN UROLOGY 4 credits.Prerequisites:  Senior medical student or permission of OME and instructor..

        Students may have an opportunity to work with a faculty member on a research project.
