In addition to these 21 credits, students are expected to take 12 to 15 credits of dissertation work (CE 659/660). If a student takes the full 15 credits of dissertation, they will not need to take any additional formal courses beyond those listed. Thirty-six credit hours of the M.D. curriculum, as indicated above, will be applied toward the 72 credit hour Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
