The Department of Radiology has three major missions: Medical Student Education, Resident Education, and Research.

The Department of Radiology is committed to excellence in the education of medical students, accomplished through four-week elective rotations performed during the either the junior or senior year.

The Radiology Residency Program is a comprehensive four-year program offering the resident broad-based experiences in all of the subspecialty areas. Resident education occurs in the major academic hospitals associated with the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, as well as in various private-practice settings.
