| MEDICAL STUDENT EDUCATION
The Department of Radiology is committed to excellence in
the education of medical students. This is accomplished through
four-week elective rotations performed during the either the
junior or senior year. These rotations occur primarily at
the Veterans Administration Medical Center under the direction
of Dr. Philip C. Moudy and consist of viewbox training sessions,
daily didactic conferences as well as independent study in
the Department’s teaching file. All students are required
to prepare and present three 15 to 20 minute presentations
on an imaging topic during this rotation. Students are also
encouraged to attend pertinent resident teaching conferences.
RESIDENT EDUCATION
The Radiology Residency Program is a comprehensive four-year
program offering the resident broad-based experiences in all
of the subspecialty areas. Resident education occurs in the
major academic hospitals associated with the State University
of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences,
as well as in various private-practice settings.
