This data was collected as part of a study of pre and post operative
(immediate and up to 10 months) mental status of non demented elderly
patients undergoing non-neurologic, non-cardiac elective surgery under
general anesthesia.

A Single Diagnostic Assay for Alzheimer's Disease --- A Pilot Study

The study consists of the collection of blood samples from patients with Alzheimer's disease. Dr Srikrishnan has devised a biochemical assay to detect levels of lactoferin and serum transferin in these samples which have been shown to decrease with the progression of the disease. It is a feasibility study comparing the sera of patients with normal controls.
