Research Information

The Department of Psychiatry at the State University of New York at Buffalo is continuing to enhance our knowledge by conducting important research projects that will improve the clinical care of patients and further the education of health care professionals and students.  We have extensive experience in conducting clinical trials and provide the infrastructure for investigator initiated research projects.  We will always strive to continue expanding our research program to promote the understanding and treatment of mental disorders.  Our extensive collaborations with other specialties and other clinical centers have opened up new opportunites to explore multidisciplinary projects that we know will impact the future of Psychiatry.  Our faculty is dedicated to promote the highest quality of care to serve the needs of the community.  This mission is also reflected by our assurance to research subjects that they will be treated with utmost respect and dignity throughout the course of  the study.  All of the research done in our Department is reviewed and monitored by the Health Sciences Institutional Review Board of the University at Buffalo.
