The Department of Psychiatry at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is pleased to announce the Kenneth Z. Altshuler, M.D. Award for fourth year medical students planning a career in psychiatry. Awardees have the opportunity to create a one-month clinical or research elective with a faculty member from the department. Our faculty is world-renowned and has expertise in mood disorders, pharmacotherapy, child and adolescent psychiatry, psychotic disorders, addictive disorders, geriatric psychiatry, anxiety disorders and psychotherapy. The award includes a $1,000 cash stipend to cover expenses. The application deadline is June 30, 2006. Requests for additional information and application forms can be obtained from:
