American Physiological Society (APS)

DESCRIPTION:The American Physiological Society (APS) is a nonprofit scientific society devoted to fostering education, scientific research, and the dissemination of information in the physiological sciences. Through its functions and activities, the Society plays an important role in the progress of science and the advancement of knowledge. At its founding in 1887 the Society
had 27 members. It now has more than 8,500 members and its growth continues. Most members have doctoral degrees in physiology or medicine (or other health professions) or both.
