National Organization for Rare Disorders
DESCRIPTION:NORD is a unique federation of more than 140 not-for-profit voluntary health

DESCRIPTION:The American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT) was founded
in 1900, and consists of over 2,100 professionals whose primary interest is to promote and
advance the science of human pharmacology and therapeutics. The Society is the largest
scientific and professional organization serving the Discipline of Clinical Pharmacology.
Most of the members are physicians (69%) or other doctoral scientists (29%). Pharmacists,
nurses, research coordinators, fellows in training, and other professionals make up the
remaining 2%.

International Union of Pharmacology
DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1959 as a section of the International Union of Physiological Sciences, The International Union of Pharmacology (IUPHAR) has been independent since 1966. Protein Society
