DESCRIPTION:PharmInfonet reproduces a short bulletin from the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Graham focus his presentation on the premise that while Helicobacter pylori infections play an important role in the pathogenesis of ulcers (H. pylori is associated with approximately 95% of duodenal ulcers and 60% of gastric ulcers), we should not overlook the key role that nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) continue to play in the development of ulcer disease.
