The pulmonary and critical care medicine division has close associations
with its affiliated hospitals:
Buffalo
General Hospital (BGH), Erie County
Medical Center (ECMC),
Millard Fillmore Hospital (MFH),
Roswell Park Cancer Institute
(RPCI)
and the
Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Western New York Health Care System
(VAMC).
BGH and MFH are part of the CGF system which is privately owned and serve
as
tertiary care centers. BGH has 812 beds with 28359 admissions in 1997,
MFH (Gates) has 400 and had 11496 admissions in 1997. ECMC is owned by
the county and has 551 beds with 12818 admissions in 1997. RPCI is a state
owned facility has 218 beds with 5344 admissions in 1997. VAMC is a
federal facility with 344 beds and 5614 admissions in 1997.
