Research Hightlight -

Dr. Sullivan is currently developing novel therapies for retinal and macular degeneration, based on mutations in genes in human photoreceptor cells and retinal pigment epithelium. He is also studying the mechanisms of pathological angiogenesis in proliferative ischemic retinopathies and maculopathies Armed with this information on mechanisms, he is working to develop gene-based therapeutics, such as ribozymes and siRNA.
