Research Hightlight - Retinal Molecular Biology

My group’s research focuses on mol-ecular etiology and mechanisms of inherited retinal diseases, discovery of novel control pathways regulating the expression of genes within retinal cells, and development of genedirec-ted therapeutic approaches to degen-erative retinal disorders. The work is being carried out in both in the clinic and in my basic science laboratory at the State University of New York at Buffalo and has been sponsored by NEI and various external foundations.
