WELCOME . . . . .

The Ophthalmology department is headquartered at Children’s Hospital in downtown Buffalo, NY. Our mission is the preservation of sight through excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Our department is comprised of highly skilled ophthalmologists and professional staff who can provide a complete range of medical and surgical management of both routine and complex eye disorders. Our specialty services include cornea and external disease, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastic surgery, ophthalmic pathology, pediatric ophthalmology, and retina and vitreous disorders. Medical residents and fellows train under close supervision of senior faculty physicians.

In the clinics, as well as in laboratories on the University at Buffalo campus, dedicated researchers work to provide new knowledge that will eventually lead to advances in patient care. On this web site, information will be provided regarding access to clinical care, descriptions of faculty members, as well as news concerning eye health and advances in research.

We hope you will find the information useful, and we welcome your comments and questions about the Ophthalmology department.
