Welcome to the Office of Medical Education ( OME ) ! The office attends to the personal and professional needs of medical students and is often the "first stop" for students with questions about any aspect of their education at UB. The OME deals with a variety of issues related to undergraduate medical student education. The OME serves the educational community by coordinating the admissions process, housing the office of minority affairs, maintaining the official record of each student and providing information regarding academic and curricular affairs. The office facilitates all aspects of the curriculum and assists with its development, implementation and evaluation. The OME is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supporting students' progress through the curriculum. Services coordinated by the OME are designed to assist students in achieving their educational goals, and include registration and course scheduling; personal, academic, and career counseling; registration for United States Medical Licensing Examination Steps I and II; residency application assistance; basic financial aid information; and other services. |
