Imaging Sciences

The goal of research in imaging sciences is to advance functional imaging technologies to non-invasively image and quantify the spatiotemporal distribution of physiological, cellular and molecular events and processes for biomedical, biological, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pharmaceutical applications.

Research Areas

  • Instrumentation Development:
    • Radiation detector and signal processing
    • Imaging systems, including PET, SPECT, and Gamma Camera
    • Multi-modality imaging, e.g. PET/CT and PET/SPECT
  • Data Analysis and Algorithm Development:
    • Three dimensional image reconstruction for PET, SPECT and CT
  • Radiopharaceutical Devlopment
  • Small Animal Imaging (Invivo Biodistribution)
