MD/PhD Training Program

Students can fulfill the Ph. D. portion of the MD/PhD Training Program (MSTP) at the Department. Students are admitted through the MD/PhD program (http://www.smbs.buffalo.edu/rbe/mstp/admissions.php) and complete 2 years of Medical School before conducting the Ph.D portion of their studies. After their Ph.D has been awarded they return to complete the last 2 years of Medical School.

Students interested in Microbiology and Immunology must complete at least one laboratory rotation with a faculty member in the Department accepting students and once the faculty member and the student have agreed, the student will be enrolled in the Microbiology and Immunology Graduate Program for their studies.

The Microbiology and Immunology Graduate Program is directed by Dr. Anthony Campagnari.  For any questions regarding the program please contact Mrs. Betty Cummings (cumming@buffalo.edu), telephone (716-829-2176).
