Lay Presentation of Research

Faculty members at the Department study how various microbes (such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites) cause disease in their hosts (humans or plants), how the host’s immune system responds to infection and how we can use this knowledge to produce future vaccines and anti-microbial therapies.
