The main offices and research laboratories of SADRCWNY are located in the Multi-Laboratory Building of the Buffalo General Hospital of the Kaleida Health System. The major clinical centers of SADRCWNY are located within the Buffalo General Hospital, the Children's Hospital of Buffalo ( of Kaleida Health System) and the Erie County Medical Center.SADRCWNY collaborates clinically with all interested Rheumatologists, Immunologists and other physicians in Western New York. It collaborates scientifically with physicians and scientists from Western New York, other parts of the United States and various other parts of the world.
SADRCWNY focuses it attention on Systemic Lupus Erytematosus (SLE). It has ongoing reaearch projects examining Hashimoto thyroiditis, Wegener granulomatosis and Microscopic Polyarteritis. It sees patients with all types of autoimmune diseases including dermatomyositis/polymyositis, scleroderma, primary anti-phospholipid antibody syndrome, juvenile arthritis and all forms of vasculitis.

SADRCWNY was established through a grant from the John R. Oishei Foundation. It currently receives additional funding from the Troupe Foundation, the Buffalo General Hospital Foundation and NIH/PHS.
