Education and Training
Residency Program:
Our categorical residency training program strives to provide a comprehensive learning experience over a three year period of time, during which each resident is expected to assume increasing amounts of responsibility for the care and management of patients. Experience in the care of both ambulatory and hospitalized patients is provided so that at the end of three years each trainee should be able to manage the majority of problems in internal medicine in all settings. This would include problems from the most trivial, to problems handled well only in an intensive-care setting.
Fellowship Programs:
Sub-Specialty fellowships are offered the following divisions:
Medical students clerkship
All third year medical students are required to complete a 12-week block (4 weeks of inpatient, 4 weeks of outpatient, and 4 weeks of elective) in Medicine (MED-700). All fourth year medical students are required to complete a 4-week Advanced clerkship in Medicine (MED-802).
