If you feel that your accomplishments (published works, administrative program development, etc.) merit special consideration, you should state this in your cover letter. You may also include additional letters, published papers, and other supporting information at your discretion.

Length of Training

American graduates of primary board certification programs in subspecialties such as internal medicine, pediatrics, and anesthesiology will usually have completed 3 years of clinical training prior to entering fellowship training in clinical pharmacology. The exact length of the Clinical Pharmacology Training Program may be 1-3 years as determined by mutual agreement of the trainee and Program Director, depending on prior training, prior certifications, and rate of progress.
