Division Statement

The goal of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology is to sponsor basic and applied research and educational programs based on principles of pharmacotherapy, with a focus on hypertension, neurocirculatory control mechanisms, and cardiovascular drugs.

The four year Internal Medicine/Clinical Pharmacology Dual Certification Program is sponsored by the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, and the United States Food and Drug Administration.

It is an interdisciplinary program that studies basic and clinical mechanisms of drug actions, individual and population pharmocokinetics and pharmacodynamics and is dedicated to advances that improve health outcomes.

The training program is offered to US citizens and permanent residents only.
