Welcome to the Med-Peds website at the University
at Buffalo. Thank you for your interest in our
program. Our residency training has the advantages
of a well-established primary-care curriculum,
diverse faculty, multiple combined Internal Medicine-Pediatric
practice sites and recognition of quality in the
community.
Our residents pursue a variety of career options
including academic, urban, and rural practices.
Our program has trained physicians to care for
special populations such as the developmentally
disabled, maternal medicine, and patients with
previous fatal diseases of childhood such as cystic
fibrosis and sickle cell disease. After training
our residents have the ability to continue their
career in a variety of ways including fellowships
in combined med-peds specialties, hospitalist
care, and community practice.
Buffalo is an exciting and friendly city. There
are plenty of opportunities for residents and
their families to take advantage of here. Buffalo
is the home of professional, college and amateur
sports. There are many areas to enjoy the arts
such as theatre and music. Recreational activities
can be experienced year round and include hiking
in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Please take some time to explore our program and
our city through this website. If you have any
questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Again thank you for your interest.
