Description of Rotations (4 week modules)

 

Internal Medicine

Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine

PGY-1 7 Ward No PM&R Module Rotations
1 Coronoary Care Unit
1 Medical Intensive Care Unit
1 Neurology Elective
1 Rheumatology Elective
1 Ambulatory Elective
Two, one-half day per week Continuity Clinics
     
PGY-2 3 Ward 6 PM&R Inpatient Wards
Procedures are taught to -- and performed by -- residents for assigned patients
(e.g., injections -- joints, epidural, etc.).
1 Medical Intensive Care Unit  
1 Emergency Medicine  
1 Geriatrics One-half day per week PM&R Clinic
One-half day per week Continuity Clinics  
     
PGY-3 2 Ward 6 PM&R Inpatient Wards
Procedures are taught to -- and performed by -- residents for assigned patients
(e.g., injections -- joints, epidural, etc.).
1 Coronary Care Unit  
1 Ambulatory Block  
2 Medicine Subspecialty Electives  
One-half day per week Continuity Clinic One-half day per week PM&R Clinic
     
PGY-4 1 Ward 3 EMG
1 Medical Intensive Care Unit  
3 Pediatric Rehab  
1 Ambulatory Block  
1 Emergency Medicine  
2 Medicine Subspecialty Electives  
One-half day per week Continuity Clinic One-half day PM&R Clinic
     
PGY-5 No medicine module rotations 6 Consult/Outpatient
  3 Industrial Medicine
  3 EMG/Outpatient
One-half day per week PM&R clinic  
   

Both Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation have 30 module rotations.
