Welcome to the website of the SUNY-Buffalo Division
of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
Our division provides inpatient and outpatient
consultations and performs a wide variety of gastroenterological
procedures at two major affiliated hospitals,
the Erie County Medical Center and the Western
New York Veterans Administration Hospital. In
addition, we see outpatients at the offices of
Academic Medicine Services at the Mosher Medical
Center.
The Division teaches students in all four years
of the medical school curriculum, and trains Internal
Medicine Residents in digestive diseases. We have
a three-year fellowship program that provides
clinical and research education for future specialists
in digestive diseases and nutrition.
Our faculty members and fellows are engaged in
innovative basic and clinical research in many
areas of gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition.
We have weekly CME-accredited teaching conferences,
Gastroenterology grand rounds, research seminars,
and journal clubs that are open to interested
practitioners in the Buffalo area as well as our
own faculty, students, and staff.
I hope you will find the information in this website
of interest to you. Please feel free to contact
me if I can provide any additional details concerning
our programs.
