The Division of Infectious Diseases has 10 full
time faculty members who are actively engaged
in scholarly activity, teaching and patient care.
Faculty research is supported by extramural funding
of over $2 million annually, the majority from
the National Institutes of Health.
The Division of Infectious Diseases offers a comprehensive
fellowship training program in infectious diseases
that is accredited by the American Board of Internal
Medicine. Fellows are exposed to intensive training
in clinical infectious diseases in addition to
state of the art laboratory or clinical research.
Faculty of the Division provide infectious disease
consultation at the 4 major teaching hospitals
of the University at Buffalo. Daily consult/teaching
rounds are made with teams of fellows, house officers
and medical students.
