Grant Instructions and Forms
The NIH Modular Grant Application procedures--all
R01, R03, R15, R21, R41, R43, and RFA applications--requesting $250,000
or less in direct costs for each budget year. Some RFA's may also
specify use of this format for awards with direct cost budgets larger
than $250,000 per year. All other grant applications should continue
to use the traditional PHS 398 requirements.

Granting terminology used at NIH
CRISP
(Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects): A searchable
database of federally funded biomedical research projects conducted
at universities, hospitals, and other research institutions. The
database includes projects funded by NIH, SAMSHA, AHCPR, and Office
of Assistant Secretary of Health.
