Education

Undergraduate/Graduate Students:
The Division of Behavioral Medicine offers opportunities for students to become actively involved in research protocols including data collection from children and adults, data entry, working with families, and attending weekly meetings to discuss ongoing research and the latest research. A commitment of 10 or more hours per week per semester and/or summer is necessary to earn 3 credit hours. In addition, opportunities exist for students who are interested in volunteering their time to gain research experience. Masters thesis and doctoral dissertation opportunities are available to Graduate students.

Refer to the Research page for information on current studies. For students interested in research hours or volunteering to help with data collection contact the Project Coordinator of the specific research project or program that you are interested in. Students interested in completing a masters thesis or doctoral dissertation should contact the pertinent faculty to obtain more information about opportunities available for graduate training.

Post- Doctoral Fellowships:
Post- doctoral fellowships prepare young investigators for a career as an independent researcher, while providing opportunities to gain experience with both clinical and laboratory based research. Post- doctoral students are provided guidance as they develop research and grantmanship skills necessary to become a successful investigator. Please contact the faculty member you are interested in working with to obtain more information about currently available post-doctoral training opportunities.
