Division of Behavioral Medicine

The mission of the Division of Behavioral Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics is to study behavioral factors relevant to the development or treatment of pediatric disease. The primary focus of research in the Division is the study of obesity and eating and activity behaviors, but researchers in the division have also focused on diabetes, asthma, feeding disorders, sleep disorders and issues associated with drug dependence. Division researchers are engaged in both basic and clinical research. The Division was established in 2000.
