Mr. Barth has been employed at the University of Buffalo (SUNY) since 1981.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Personnel management and assignment

·        Oversee project continuity

·        Design and construction of scientific and experimental equipment;

skills include both electronic and mechanical work

·        Data collection and scientific analysis

·        Assist in reporting

·        Maintenance and US Navy certification of  hyperbaric chamber

 

Participation:

·        Co-investigator in several field expeditions and other studies outside the CRESE facility

o   Navy divers’ respiratory endurance  training

o   Extreme depth, ocean breath-hold dive’s

o   10 day saturation dive in Key Largo

·        Support technician in two saturation dive’s

 

Education:

·        NAUI First Aid/CPR-Certified

·        Selected computer programming courses

·        Certified Sport diver

·        AAS Electrical Technology 1979

·      Computer based course in the ethical use of human volunteer subjects in research

 

Experience:

·        21 years experience in hyperbaric and diving physiology research
