3: Tours of regional sites of educational and
job
opportunities
*Applicants must be available to participate in the entire 3 – week program .

Purpose: to expose middle and high
school science teachers to regional
opportunities in education and
jobs in biotechnology and
clinical laboratory sciences. Laboratory skills needed to achieve these goals will be taught in intensive hands-on laboratory sessions.
Who May Apply:
•Science teachers currently employed at a middle school or high school in Chautauqua, Erie,
Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara , Orleans,
Steuben or Wyoming Counties
•Applications will be available online by May 1, 2008 at
•Teachers will be notified of their acceptance into the program
by June 1, 2008
Time Commitment: 3 week session
•July 7- July 24th
•Monday-Thursday, 8:30-4:30
•Schedule will be available online by May 1, 2008 at
Compensation:
•Teachers will be compensated on an hourly basis ($25/h) for
their time in the
program
•Teachers will receive training and teaching materials to bring
back to the classroom
•Teachers will receive a
certificate upon completion
