•Purpose: to expose middle and high
school science teachers to regional
opportunities in education and
• jobs in biotechnology and
clinical laboratory sciences. Laboratory skills needed to achieve these goals will be taught in intensive hands-on laboratory sessions.
•Who May Apply:
•Science teachers currently employed at a middle school or high school in Chautauqua, Erie,
Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara , Orleans,
Steuben or Wyoming Counties
•Teachers will be notified of their acceptance into the program
by June 1, 2008
•
•Time Commitment: 3 week session
•July 7- July 24th
•Monday-Thursday, 8:30-4:30
•
•Compensation:
•Teachers will be compensated on an hourly basis ($25/h) for
their time in the
program
•Teachers will receive training and teaching materials to bring
back to the classroom
•Teachers will receive a
certificate upon completion
