David L. Barthel, President and CEO
As President and CEO, Mr. Barthel is responsible for the development, management,
and profitable growth of this developer of the SmartPill capsule platform for
diagnostic GI healthcare. Mr. Barthel has led the company from start-up phase
through the asset purchase of the SmartPill platform, through 510(k) Clinical
Trials and into commercialization, and has demonstrated expertise in strategic
marketing and planning, financial analysis, fundraising, and development and
market delivery of medical devices.
Mr. Barthel, has over 12 years of senior management experience and has held
several executive Sales and Marketing positions in divergent capital markets.
Mr. Barthel holds a BA in Business Administration and Management from St. Norbert
College and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management
