Rehab Department of Anesthesiology

About the Department of Anesthesiology

Thank you for exploring the University at Buffalo Anesthesiology Program's Website. We are proud of our history as one of the oldest anesthesiology programs in the nation, and of our alumni practicing around the U.S., Canada, and the world.
B Anesthesiology is somewhat different in that there is no single university hospital, but, in fact, six separate clinical sites where specialized anesthetic cases are performed. This arrangement exposes our residents to not only a variety of different anesthetic techniques offered by our diverse faculty, but also to special anesthetic techniques in the care of cancer, cardiac, trauma, obstetric, and pediatric patients.
UB Anesthesiology is committed to excellence in resident education, clinical care, and research. The extensive training offered by this program prepares each resident to successfully pursue future goals, whether it be in teaching, clinical care, or research.
T his website provides a synopsis of UB's approach to resident training in anesthesiology. We trust that you will be impressed, and we look forward to receiving your inquiries.
The UB Anesthesiology Department searches for enthusiastic physicians who are seeking the adventure of an innovative, educational, solid clinical experience. A broad spectrum of investigational opportunities is available through our clinical scholars program, or our newly developed Physician Scientist Development Program. We would like you to consider being part of it and one of us!
