AUTOMATIC EMAIL ACCESS TO THE JOURNAL OF NEUROSCIENCE! Dear Society for Neuroscience Member: The Journal Of Neuroscience has gone the next step to keep you on the cutting edge of neuroscience research! Beginning in December, the table of contents for each current issue of The Journal of Neuroscience will automatically be emailed to you as that issue goes online. As you scan each new table of contents, you will be able to jump immediately to the online version of any article(s) of interest. Accessing online articles from email requires only a simple step or two, using instructions that will be posted at the top of each table of contents. We believe that this new feature, available exclusively to Society members, will be a big time-saver and make browsing the Journal even easier and more informative than ever before. However, if for any reason you wish to discontinue this automatic forwarding function, please notify the Society's Central Office at info@sfn.org and we would be happy to stop sending this email. We will be providing you with additional instructions on how to use the automatic table of contents, including slight variations in linking to articles, depending on your email program. In the meantime, if you have not already done so, YOU WILL NEED TO ACTIVATE YOUR ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION IN ORDER TO USE THE TABLE OF CONTENTS LINK FUNCTION. To do this, visit the Journal Home page (http://www.jneurosci.org/) and select the "Activate Subscription" option. You will then be asked to enter your nine-digit membership identification number (refer to the membership card you received in the mail or membership dues notice) and follow the instructions provided. We hope you're taking full advantage of The Journal of Neuroscience online and that you will make use of this and the many other state-of-the-art features that have put the Journal on the cutting edge of electronic publishing. Sincerely, Solomon H. Snyder, M.D. Chairman, Publications Committee
