Clinical Practice Committee

This Committee consists of Practice Plan physicians, administrators and members from VPHA’s staff chaired by Dr. Thomas Rosenthal, Chair, Department of Family Medicine. The Committee’s goal is to enhance student education and enrich patient care through the facilitation of referrals and collaboration among the Clinical Practices of the Practice Plan Corporations affiliated with the University at Buffalo. This is a Committee of the UBA Board and its members are as follows:

• Ray Dannenhoffer, Ph.D. (Office of Medical Computing)
• Brian Murphy, Director, HPITP (Information Technology)
• Thomas Rosenthal, M.D. (Family Medicine) Committee Chair
• Janet Stanek, President, Stand Advertising, LLC

Objectives are as follows:

• Develop easy access reference sources, including a web-based system for specialists and generalists affiliated with the University at Buffalo.
• Study existing UB FPMP patient referrals.
• Catalog the barriers to referrals between corporations.
• Identify opportunities to smooth the process of patient centered referrals.
