UBA Mission & Objectives

Mission Statement

UB Associates, Inc. ("UBA") is a management services organization affiliated with the University at Buffalo. Its primary goal is to support the mission of the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and its Faculty Practice Plan by providing centralized management and other services.

Objective

In meeting this mission, UBA provides or arranges for the following services:

• Financial
  • Centralized Cash Management
  • Business Plan Preparation
  • Timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Annual Budgeting and Planning Process
  • Accounting Support as required
    
• Administration
• Coordination of various committees to further enhance and assist the Faculty Practice Plan with its overall management entity.
• Legal

• Arranges for legal counsel and advice related to health law, corporate law and business matters.
• IT
  • Coordination of IT Policy among the Faculty Practice Plans.
  • Administration of IT services.
  • Provide technical support for UBA deployed services.
• HIPAA
  • Central Coordinators of HIPAA ( Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act ) Compliance Activated
  • Privacy and Security Policy development / audit services
  • Transitions and Code Sets compliance activities
